About Me

My name is Vanessa Salinas and I'm a 3rd generation matrilineal curandera, herbalist, community educator, and animal lover. My experience spans almost 3 decades, including hands on apprenticeship with my late grandmother Juana of El Venado, SLP, an Apache Lipan Medicine woman during my time in Austin, and my late friend and espiritista Saul Palacios.

My practice is based in Southwest Texas and I focus on Mexican healing arts, traditional plant practices, land stewardship, and spiritual wellbeing.

My ofrendas include:

  • Mexican Healing Arts: I teach workshops focusing on traditional plant practices of Southwest Texas and Northern Mexico, including altars, land offerings, and covering folk botanical traditions to teach personal spiritual practices.
  • Handcrafted Products: Small-batch items, including herbal bath salts, intentional perfumes, candles, and smudge alternatives.
  • Spiritual Services: Offerings include tarot readings, energetic barridas, mindfulness meditation, and sacred breathwork exercises.
